Deuba summons emergency party meet after Maoist pullout

Jul 12, 2016- Following CPN (Maoist Centre)'s decision to withdraw support to the KP Sharma Oli-led government, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has summoned an emergency meeting of office bearers at around 5 pm.
According to NC leader Ramhari Khatiwada, a central committee meeting of the party will decide on the formation of the next government. "Since we are the largest party and that the new constitution was promulgated under our leadership, we call on the CPN-UML to also come to consensus on the formation of a new government," Khatiwada told the Post. "If the UML opts to stay out, we will then officially decide on under who's leadership will the next government be formed."
The Maoist's decision to withdraw support comes a day after Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal held talks with both Deuba and Oli separately, calling for a unity government.
