Jul 28, 2016- Preparations have been complete for the 9th Nepal Festival to be held in Japan on August 6 and 7 on the occasion of 60th years of bilateral relations between Nepal and Japan, the main organising committee said.
To be organised by the Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), Japan with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal and the Nepali embassy in Japan, the festival aims at promoting tourism, said Sudhan Thapa, coordinator of the committee and the NRNA, Japan chairman.
Around 40 stalls will be set up displaying various goods and dishes representing Nepali art and culture, Thapa said. Information about tourism destinations of Nepal will also be disseminated, he added.
Famous Nepali and Japanese artists will also show musical performance at the event, said Devi Lal Bhandari, NRNA Vice Chairman and deputy coordinator of the committee.
As many as 45,000 visitors are expected. RSS
