Jul 12, 2016- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will not resign despite major coalition partner CPN (Maoist Center) deciding to withdraw support to government.
PM Oli has begun preparations to face the no-confidence motion in the parliament instead of resigning after Maoist pullout.
UML Chief Whip Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal said the party will embrace the parliamentary rules. “This government has done some good works. The withdrawal is the result of those good works,” he said. “We will face the parliament over this issue.”
UML has summoned a standing committee meet at 6 pm today.
PM Oli, meanwhile, has started discussions with his honchos over the future course of action to be adopted by the government.
